The amazingness comes in the fact that Square is reviving the greatest RPG of all time. The unamazingness is because, from this story, it looks to be a straight port without any real enhancements; why not render it in 3D as they're doing for FFIV DS? Also, Square needs to spend less time on basic remakes and more time on things like an English version of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+. But hell, I suppose it is Chrono Trigger...Forget the speculation, Square Enix has officially confirmed that Chrono Trigger DS will hit North America this holiday season. Originally released in 1995 for the SNES and then again in 2001 as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles for PlayStation, this version of Chrono Trigger will be the first portable version to date.
Chrono Trigger DS will feature the classic multiple endings that it is famous for and will be unchanged at its core. Yasunori Mitsuda's score will return as will Akira Toriyama's character designs. The new additions to this version are dual screen presentation, touch screen functionality, a brand new dungeon, and an unspecified wireless play mode. Continue to visit the official North American website for more updates as they become available.
The painful news comes from this:

Diamondbacks placed catcher Chris Snyder on the disabled list with a left testicular fracture.OUCH! I don't even want to know...
The excellent news is that Nick Blackburn went 7-innings and only gave up 3 hits with no runs in the Twins' 7-0 defeat of the Tigers this afternoon (and to think--it could have been a sweep if the bullpen didn't falter two days ago). The offense batted around and scored five runs, all with two outs, against Detroit starter Eddie Bonine in the 3rd. Why couldn't the 2008 Yankees ever do that?
Watching this Twins team is fun. I think they're having fun too, which is why they're winning. Same goes for the Rays. In contrast are the Yankees, who treat every at-bat as a chore, which results in low energy and utter failure. Ugh. They try to avoid a sweep by the Rangers tonight behind Sidney Ponson. Let's do it, and then let's steamroll Boston!
